Going forward, cars will do all their own driving

CAR-MAKERS talk about how connected their cars are, and how easily they can pair with your smartphone. They offer instant access to the internet and all of the functions on your phone. Handy as all this is, the car will not always be a glorified mobile-phone carrier.

A future of connected cars has many upsides, as cars will be able to communicate their position to other vehicles and allow for some, or total, autonomous driving. This should reduce collision rates, serious injuries and fatality numbers on our roads.

There is also a future of instant traffic information and navigation.
