The Kia Optima may not have clicked with Irish customers in the same way as its’ sister car the Hyundai i40, but it was a very worthy effort from the Korean manufacturer and probably deserved better in overall sales terms.

That being so, Kia are very hopeful that the all-new version of the Optima, which will arrive in Irish dealer showrooms in late December and will go on sale in January, will significantly increase the company’s share of the family car/repmobile segment.

Ahead of the launch next month, Kia says the new model boasts a modern new exterior, a bold new interior look — with more room for driver and passengers — as well as an array of new convenience and safety equipment.
