David Beckham's customised Range Rover is for sale
The 2007 supercharged V8 model was customised and upgraded to the former England captain’s specification by Kahn Conversions at a cost of around £100,000 (€142,000), but at auction the 62,000-mile car is expected to reach £25,000.
Unique interior trim includes black quilted leather seats and “Beckham” logos on the floor mats. There is also a plaque inscribed “Designed for David Beckham”.
Twin rear screens would have allowed the young Beckhams to watch movies or play PlayStation games.
On the outside, a typically unsubtle Kahn body kit and huge black five-spoke alloy wheels mark this bespoke build out from the crowd.
Two owners are recorded on the car’s V5C form, with Beckham as the first and the current seller as the second.
It originally wore the number plate DB1001, but unsurprisingly, this is not included in the sale and is likely to have found a home on another of Beckham’s cars.
“This amazing personalised Range Rover with its impeccable provenance offers a unique future investment opportunity,” said classic car specialist Arwel Richards of Classic Car Auctions, which is managing the sale.
“David Beckham is arguably one of the most famous personalities on earth, and certainly a titan of sport.
“Recent sales of celebrity owned cars have far exceeded the true market values of contemporary models and so we expect great excitement around the sale.”
The auction is scheduled for Warwickshire Exhibition Centre on December 5.
