New Ford range out of this world

It has been a very busy week in Ireland for the Ford brand, with three new model ranges being launched, including the Galaxy and S-Max MPVs. Possibly the most interesting new model from the Blue Oval is the Ford Mondeo Vignale.

Essentially a dickied-up and much-smartened Mondeo, the Vignale owes its name to the legendary Italian Alfredo Vignale, who was one of the first coachbuilders, or carrozzeria, to see a car as something that could be personalised with unique, made-to-measure designs.

Ford says this car is the first in a range of upscale Ford Vignale products — others we will see soon will include the S-Max and the Kuga. The company says each will deliver quality craftsmanship, superior refinement, and exclusive specification.
