Mercedes motors on and enters the Sports SUV fray

The Austrian Tyrolean resort of Kitzbuhel was the host venue for the unveiling of two new models from Mercedes-Benz this week, one of which is a direct replacement for the M-Class and the other totally new.

In line with the company’s new model nomenclature, the models both have a ‘GLE’ suffix, but are quite different from one another.

One is a traditional SUV and the other is one of those new Coupé SUVs of which we here at Examiner Motoring have been dubious about for some time now.
