In this case, though, VW are promising something very special. The anniversary model will not only have a particularly powerful engine, it will also feature an extensively customised interior, a new front bumper that is more aerodynamic, new side sills, a new and very striking roof spoiler, and a new rear diffuser. All these features were designed according to the principle of ‘form follows function’, as the objective was to enhance the performance of the GTI.
