As the brand celebrates 50 million vehicle sales since its creation some 95 years ago, Citroën is unveiling a surprising, creative and bold new concept car ahead of the Shanghai Motor Show.

After 50M sales, Citroën unveils new concept car

The company says the Aircross concept confirms it’s ability to develop its new positioning, which it says is already both international and different.

Drawing on the product and styling traits of C4 Cactus, the body design and cabin ambience express a sense of modernity and a unique ‘feel good’ spirit.

This new concept car illustrates Citroën’s ability to assert its identity in all vehicle segments.

We are also told the positive design is heightened by vibrant orange-red paintwork, symbolising, believe it or not, energy and serenity, with innovative materials denoting robustness.

In the meantime, Citroën’s C4 Cactus has won the “2015 World Car Design of the Year” award.

The jury of the “World Car of the Year” competition rewards the car that stood out in the course of the year, thanks to a design that challenges the established codes and embodies a bold and innovative style.

With its audacious stylistic statements and a design that optimally reconciles the attractive and the functional, C4 Cactus succeeded in winning the most votes.
