Rolls Royce to roll out first SUV

Rolls Royce is to make its first SUV, according to a letter sent out to potential customers, employees, suppliers and media this week.

The letter, signed by CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös, and chairman Peter Schwarzenbauer, said many customers had “urged” the company to develop the car.

The BMW-owned automaker seems to be avoiding the term SUV, however. Müller-Ötvös describes it as an “all-new, high-bodied Rolls-Royce”. It is under development and it will deliver on the brand’s promise of high-end luxury.
