Honda is to launch a 40th Anniversary Gold Wing and all new CBR1000RR Fireblade SP at the Carole Nash Irish Motorbike & Scooter Show RDS on Feb 27- March 1 next.

To 40th anniversary Gold Wing anniversary edition boasts a newly designed layered fairing which reduces buffeting and offers the rider better wind protection.

For added luxury, both rider and pillion seats are finished with a new perforated waterproof polyurethane cover that offers extra comfort especially on long journeys.

The standard trim of the Anniversary Edition includes heated grips and seats, in addition to a leg warming system. It has an audio system with MP3 compatibility as well as cruise control and electric reverse.

The model comes in four different colours including a unique two-tone Prominence Red and Graphite Black livery which is complemented by a blacked frame, black wheels and black top box cover.

Honda has introduced a special anniversary emblem which is embossed on the passenger backrest and can also be found on the keys, front fairing and on the lid of the topbox. Additional colours available also include black, white and metallic silver. Robert Galbraith, chairman of Honda Distributors said: “Very few bikes have stood the test of time as well as the Gold Wing has. It’s a testament to the great styling and comfort that this motorcycle is sought after by so many touring bike enthusiasts today.” A host of new motorcycles and scooters will be launched in the Irish market at the Carole Nash Irish Motorbike and Scooter Showon February 27.
