New Peugeot 108 here in January

The new Peugeot 108, sister car to the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo, will be launched in Ireland in January, from €13,290, plus dealer delivery charge, for a 1.0-litre, five-door Active petrol model.

It will have an extended warranty of five years.

Available here in a five-door body style, with a choice of Active or Allure trims and 11 personalisation themes, the new 108 is powered by a 1.0-litre 68bhp or 1.2-litre 82bhp, PureTech petrol engine, matched to manual or ecomatique gearboxes.

A cabrio model will have an electric fabric roof. A level-one Access model and three-door body style will be marketed here later.

Featuring a stylish front face and lion-claw rear signature lights, the new Peugeot 108 has generous interior space for four occupants. It boasts 196 litres of boot capacity, an increase from the 139 litres on the Peugeot 107. The boot sill is 20mm lower for easier loading and an innovative parcel shelf pivots into position as the boot lid is pulled down, hiding goods below. A spare wheel is standard.

Standard equipment includes six airbags, hill assist, a tyre-pressure warning system, ESP, front electric windows, remote central locking, LED daytime running lights and a spare wheel.

The Active model has a 7” colour touch screen with Mirrorlink technology, air-conditioning, 15” wheels, electric/heated door mirrors, Bluetooth and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.

Priced from €14,920, plus delivery, Allure level three models have a reverse parking camera, automatic headlights, front fogs, 15” alloy wheels, smart-entry Keyless Go, a leather steering wheel and rev counter.
