Toyota gears up for new hydrogen car

Toyota, the biggest hybrid manufacturer in the world, has issued the biggest signal yet that hydrogen is the way forward.

This week the Japanese giant launched its new Mirai — a car that signals the start of a new age of vehicle propulsion.

Using hydrogen as fuel to generate electricity, the Mirai is said to achieve superior environmental performance with the convenience and driving pleasure expected of any car.
