Bridgestone deal with BMW

Bridgestone, the world’s largest tyre and rubber manufacturer, has been chosen by BMW as exclusive tyre supplier for the new i8, BMW’s revolutionary, new electric hybrid car.

Following Bridgestone’s selection as exclusive development partner for the electric i3, this latest agreement is confirmation of the strong partnership between both companies.

Bridgestone developed a tyre that could match the i8’s efficiency and dynamic handling. Building on Bridgestone’s tradition of safety, performance and efficient design, the Potenza S001 high-performance sports tyre, and a newly developed tyre, have been approved by BMW for fitting on the i8.
