New car sales up 25% in first half of the year

VW has overtaken Toyota as the top selling brand in Ireland, as figures show sales of new cars were up 25% in the first half of the year compared to 2013.

The statistics from the CSO again make good reading as the recovery in the motor trade continues on the back of growing consumer confidence and the availability of finance.
