BEING firmly of that cadre of humankind which believes that people should sleep in beds — where possible — and not in any form of motorised home.

I am decidedly not a fan of any form of caravan, motorised home, recreational vehicle or whatever else you’d like to call them. That’s not to say I have never caravanned or motor homed in my day — I did plenty of both before I got sense — but as an ordinary workaday motorist I have come to detest these vehicles.

Large mobile homes do have their place as generally they stay in one spot and don’t clog up summertime roads, but as for the rest of them — they are nothing more than a pain on the asphalt for everyone but the people driving them.
