Barnardo’s chief executive Fergus Finlay is determined to continue with the controversial Stop Out of Control Drinking campaign despite its funder, Diageo, withdrawing its representative from the board.

NOT before time, the Diageo boss in Ireland, David Smith, has withdrawn from the board of an alcohol awareness campaign established last month and which the international drinks conglomerate is funding to the tune of €1m.
