A mystery RTÉ presenter has joined stars Ryan Tubridy, Joe Duffy, and Ray D’Arcy in earning more than €300,000 a year from the station in the first salary figures revealed by the State broadcaster in three years.

RTÉ must deliver a “maximum level of transparency” in relation to how much it pays its stars like Ryan Tubridy and Ray D’Arcy, Communications Minister Denis Naughten has said.

Two of Ireland’s most popular presenters — Ryan Tubridy and Ray D’Arcy — were trying hard not to let their competitive streaks show at the launch of RTÉ One’s new season schedule yesterday.
