A ballot of staff involved in a dispute at a An Post contractor will take place today.

Talks are due to resume later aimed at resolving the dispute at An Post that led to a four-day shutdown of postal services.

Postal services have suffered serious disruption after an official strike by subcontractors responsible for maintenance of the automated sorting systems at An Post’s four main mail centres.

An Post has advised customers not to post any letters or parcels until further notice.
