ANGRY settlers got into bloody fistfights yesterday with soldiers and police trying to dismantle the West Bank settlement outpost of Mitzpeh Yitzhar, the first inhabited outpost being removed under a new US- backed peace plan.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon reiterated today that peace talks won’t begin until violence ends, and Israel will not return to its ‘‘vulnerable’’ borders that existed before the 1967 Mideast war.
