Here I go again, praising the wines of Spain.

THE sad news of the death of Paddy Keogh of Wines Direct was announced recently and this column would like to extend sympathies to his family and work colleagues. 

THERE are few wines more iconic than New Zealand’s Cloudy Bay which was founded in 1985 and whose intense pungent Sauvignon Blanc became a benchmark for the varietal in that country.

IRISH consumers buy more wine from Australia than from any other country, giving them a market share of around 27%, much of which is driven by the large brands.
