A man who is alleged to have received a death threat from a person described as “head” of Limerick’s notorious McCarthy Dundon gang did not wish to proceed with a complaint he made to gardaí, a court has heard.

A man who allegedly received a death threat from the "head of the Dundon McCarthy" criminal gang told gardaí he did not wish to proceed with the matter, a court heard today.

A man alleged by gardaí to be the head of a criminal gang has been been charged with threatening to kill his sister’s father-in-law, in Limerick, last Tuesday.
