At least 30 people were killed when farmers raided a village of herders in south-eastern Kenya today in renewed fighting between two communities with a history of violent animosity.

At least 28 people have been killed in clashes between farmers and herders in south-eastern Kenya, a police official said today.

Fighting between a community of cattle herders and farmers over land and water has killed 12 people in Kenya's south-east, the Kenya Red Cross said.
