An explosion has struck near a Catholic church in north Nigeria, a region under attack by a radical Islamist sect.

A major security operation was being mounted at Drumcree Church in Co Armagh today to ensure no repeat of the violence of previous years when loyalists clashed with police.

The Orangemen prayed before setting off on their march towards Drumcree Church for their annual Battle of the Somme commemoration service.
