The Gain Mares’ Final occupied centre stage at yesterday’s annual Ballynoe point-to-point fixture.

There was some competitive fare on offer at the well-attended Carrigtwohill and Pigeon Hill point-to-point fixture at Ballyvodock yesterday and the Paul Cashman-trained Arctic Destination appears to hold a particularly bright future judged by his authoritative success in the opening five-year-old geldings’ maiden.
