An army bomb disposal team has carried out a controlled explosion on two objects discovered at a recycling plant in Co Clare this morning.

Gardaí, fire personnel and the Army Bomb Disposal Team have taken part in an operation in Shannon, Co Clare this morning which saw a quantity of chemicals destroyed.

Growth at Aaron Value Adding Services, the electronic circuit manufacturing facility, has been helped because some firms are now moving back from sending manufacturing to Asia, writes Trish Dromey.
