An Irish man is in custody in Italy after his Chinese wife went missing on a cruise.

Ryanair is seeking an investigation into how one of its aircraft was damaged after it rolled backwards and crashed into a building at Ciampino airport in Rome on Wednesday.

The pilot who managed to safely land a plane on the Hudson River in New York today, saving the lives of all 150 passengers on board, did “absolutely everything right,” according to an aviation expert.

RYANAIR was forced to cancel 29 of its flights from Rome as Ciampino Airport remained closed for a second day following the emergency landing of one of its aircraft there on Monday.

One of Rome’s main airports has been temporarily closed after birds caused a Ryanair aircraft to make an emergency landing.
