I have two buddleia bushes at the bottom of my garden. They’ve been in flower for a couple of weeks and, on the odd occasion when the sun shines, I stroll down to check them for insects. 

A scarcity of butterflies has been noted by yours truly and others this summer, but late July and early August can often be good times to see these delightful, delicately coloured creatures, experts tell us.
