A youth who pleaded guilty to destroying Victorian gravestone monuments dating from 1835 at Glasnevin Cemetery to the value of €100,000 has been remanded on continuing bail until sentencing on April 18, 2005.

OVER €80,000 of damage has been caused to headstones and machinery in an act of mindless vandalism at Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin.

Gardaí say 39 headstones were damaged by vandals at Glasnevin cemetery in Dublin last night.
