Met Éireann has extended its weather warning countrywide, with temperatures well below freezing and icy conditions set to continue for the weekend.

There will be an extra motivation for the members of Ireland’s senior men’s team as they line out for their clubs in the Irish Senior Cup’s opening round this weekend.

FREEZING weather conditions will continue well into next week, with widespread frost making roads extremely hazardous but the prospect of a white Christmas is slipping away.
