THERE seems little chance that all Canadian Anglican clergy will honour the moratorium on blessing same-sex unions requested by the worldwide Anglican communion.

AN Anglican church commission sharply criticised the US Episcopal Church yesterday for consecrating a gay bishop and called on the church to apologise and refrain from promoting any other clergy living in a same-sex union.

Church of Ireland Archbishop Robin Eames has been appointed to chair a commission established to discuss the crisis sparked by the election of an openly gay bishop to the US Episcopal Church earlier this year.
