Three young men were remanded in custody for their parts in a violent disorder in the northside of Cork city last summer — the worst public order incident the local sergeant has seen in 10 years in the area.

A 21-YEAR-OLD man has died and two others hospitalised after a stolen vehicle collided with a taxi in a suspected joyride tragedy.

Gardaí investigating a fatal collision in Cork city believe that one of the vehicles involved had been stolen just a short time earlier.
