The jury in the trial of two Leeds United footballers accused of taking part in a savage street attack on an Asian student was today due to retire to consider its verdicts.

Lee Bowyer is guilty of causing grievous bodily harm to an Asian student even if he did not lay a finger on him, a jury has been told.

Footballer Jonathan Woodgate acted as a peacemaker in a nightclub disturbance shortly before he was allegedly involved in a violent attack on an Asian student, a court heard.
