A Killiney man who broke a teenager’s eye socket with a single punch in a case of mistaken identity has been given a two and half year suspended sentence.

A demonstration is expected to take place outside the monthly meeting of Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council tonight at 7pm to protest council threats to discontinue refuse collection to householders who have not paid bin tax.
