A man charged with IRA membership and the possession of a handgun has protested the use of video link to facilitate his appearance in court.

A man who repeatedly stabbed a Polish national leaving him with life-threatening injuries has had his sentence adjourned by Judge Desmond Hogan at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Three men were detained this afternoon in connection with a stabbing in the Tallaght area of Dublin late last night.
