Gardaí in Kerry are investigating a spate of break-ins in the county.

The 100-bed Central Hotel in the centre of Tralee town, and built as the Abbeygate 20 years ago, is for sale for €1m.

THE Garda ombudsman’s office yesterday confirmed it was investigating an incident in which two men sustained injuries during a Garda operation in Co Kerry.

KERRY County Council has been urged to publish a name and shame list of compensation claimants in an effort to reduce its spiralling insurance costs.
