The inquest into the deaths of two post office raiders shot by an armed garda in County Dublin two years ago, heard today of unsuccessful attempts to prevent the robbery.

Extensive footage of an attempted armed raid at Lusk Post Office in 2005 is to be shown in Dublin Coroner's Court today.

GARDAÍ will give evidence from behind a screen during the inquest of two men shot dead by officers during a post office robbery, it emerged yesterday.
