I WISH to congratulate Ryle Dwyer for his column on so-called global warming by means of fossil fuel burning (Irish Examiner, March 20).

IT’S been reported that upwards of €100 million is about to be spent on a dual carriageway connecting the N20 with the N8, north of Cork city.

I WISH to protest against the waste of taxpayers’ money on barriers in the middle of part of the Cork-Mallow Road. With the vast sums spent on the new road, the public are entitled to something better.
