La Cucina Centro is a wonderfully funky addition to Limerick’s dining options, says Joe McNamee.

La Cucina opened in April and in recent weeks it has added Giorgio Casari as maitre d’ — former owner of the Unicorn on Merrion Row.

There is “no recession in Irish, quality food”, according to John McKenna, author of the national food bible, The Irish Food Guide.

Chapter One has once again rewritten the recipe for success, with the fine dining Dublin venue now named best restaurant four years in a row.
