The Marine Casualty Investigation Board is to carry out an investigation into the death of a female kayaker who drowned in Kerry yesterday afternoon.

A 19-year-old man has drowned in a river in Co Kerry. Gardaí say the accident happened shortly after 6am this morning in the Muckross area of Killarney.
