A US air force F-15 fighter jet has crashed into the Pacific off the southern Japanese island of Okinawa after the aircraft developed problems in flight.

Two of America’s most advanced fighter jets, the F-22 Raptor, have arrived in Japan for their first overseas deployment, the US Air Force said today.
