THE main office holders of Limerick County Council have clocked up a huge amount of air travel over the past four years, with foreign trips costing the taxpayer a total of €41, 671.

LIMERICK County Council is to go ahead with a trip to China, despite the fact that a promised report on the benefits of a previous mission costing taxpayers €32,000 was never produced.

THE eight-member group representing Limerick County Council in China on a junket to further links with Shanghai will also be spending several days and nights in Hong Kong, it emerged last night.

SIX Limerick county councillors and two senior council officials depart later today on a nine day junket to China which will cost taxpayers in excess of €32,000.
