A young woman who has been haunted by the murder of her mother 22 years ago yesterday faced sentencing for a hit and run where she crashed into a parked car.

A man who burgled four Glasnevin homes in one day has been given a six-year sentence by Judge Desmond Hogan at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
