The founder of a pirate radio station in Dublin, Eamon 'Captain' Cooke, has lost his appeal against his conviction on 42 counts of indecent assault against two young girls in the 1970s.

One of three men who forced a porter to open up a bank at gun point telling him they had kidnapped his wife has been jailed for seven years by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
