Despite having watched a couple of French front rows disappear into his rearview mirror, Munster prop Stephen Archer is not expecting any reduction in intensity tomorrow when the Guinness PRO14 campaign resumes with a trip to interprovincial rivals Connacht.

A collective sigh of relief led by head coach Anthony Foley was exhaled across Munster yesterday as Ireland back row and club captain Peter O’Mahony committed his future to the province.

They have finally been given the tools, now it is up to Connacht to deliver the goods and thereby ensure young stars such as Robbie Henshaw stay on board.
