Defence counsel in the trial of an unemployed father of four gardaí believe is the head of the IRA in Dublin told the Special Criminal Court today there is not a "shred of evidence" against his client.

An unemployed househusband accused of IRA membership told gardaí he hadn't 'a clue' why an associate of his was carrying a large wad of cash near his home with his name on it, the Special Criminal Court heard today.
