A man who failed to appear as a witness at the trial in April of his brother-in-law for allegedly threatening to kill his wife has now left Ireland, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court was told.

The former partner of Latvian woman Baibe Saulite who was shot dead at her home in Swords in November has been jailed for two years by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for the abduction of their children.
