New charges were brought at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin today against three Co Louth men who already face charges in connection with dissident terrorist activity in the north east.

Six vehicles, guns and ammunition and components of an explosive device have been seized in an ongoing probe into suspected dissident republican activity, gardaí said today.

AMMUNITION, a firearm and balaclavas have been seized in an anti-dissident operation by armed gardaí which led to the arrest of five men.
