PROVIDENCE RESOURCES has announced Exxon Mobil will be taking over as operator of Frontier Exploration Licence 3/04 — part of the Dunquin prospect in the Porcupine Basin area off the southwest coast of Ireland.

PROVIDENCE Resources, the Dublin-headquartered oil and gas exploration and production company, has been awarded 15 new blocks under a Licensing Option in the Goban Spur area, off the west coast by Communications, Marine and Natural Resources Minister Noel Dempsey.

PROVIDENCE RESOURCES acquisition of over 1,500km of 2-D long offset seismic data over the Dunquin Prospect deepwater site off the west coast of Ireland has now been successfully completed.
