A MALE pedestrian remains fighting for his life after being struck by a car in Athlone, Co Westmeath, on Sunday evening.

A man is still in a serious condition in hospital this afternoon after he was knocked down by a car in Co Westmeath.

Gardaí in Co Monaghan are investigating a crash yesterday evening in which a 30-year-old man lost his life.
