Tipperary put in a second solid display against a Limerick college outfit in the space of 24 hours to register a 2-13 to 2-6 win over Limerick IT at Dr. Morris Park, Thurles this afternoon.

There was a busy schedule of GAA senior inter-county football and hurling matches around the country today, with the new experimental rules providing more talking points and the compulsory helmets rule in hurling coming into force for the first time.

The GAA have moved to clarify the protocol for the implementation of the proposed experimental rule in relation to the 'mark', ahead of the pre-season competitions which begin this weekend.

Tickets will be on public sale at Dr Morris Park Thurles for Limerick v Tipp while stocks last this afternoon until 3:00pm.
