Croke Park was never going to be a heaving cauldron of noise and fervour on Sunday, certainly not when Kildare and Westmeath ran out from under the Cusack Stand for the first of the two Leinster semi-finals.

CROKE Park will continue to host the finals of the Ladies Football TG4 All-Ireland championship finals in junior, intermediate and senior, chief executive Helen O’Rourke confirmed yesterday.

CROKE PARK will be the backdrop for a fantastic ceremony to mark the opening of this year’s largest sporting event in the world - the 2003 Special Olympic Games.
